All About Roxie
Welcome to Roxie’s Hometown Quilting & Boutique! The quilt shop has a lot of history right here in our small town. In 1929, the building was a cheese factory for the community, but for the last 50 years it has sat vacant at the edge of town. As retirement age was coming upon us, my husband, Tom, had activities of his own, so I, Roxie, wanted a place to do what I love in retirement as well. In 2022, Tom and I purchased the shop and started on the long project of making it my dream quilt shop. Finally, after a year and a half of renovations, I was able to decorate and move in my longarm and quilting supplies. For the last 2 years, I have quilted at least 100 quilts for people in our community and enjoyed visiting with tourists who stop by. Cannot wait to see where this fun little shop takes us!

I learned about quilting while growing up. My aunts and grandma would sew, often making quilts, tie quilts, and clothes for us kids while I played under their tables. I was too young to learn to quilt from them, but they gave me the passion. As I got older, I found a quilt shop in Richfield, Utah called Marcia’s Fabric & Quilts. One day, when I went in for fabric, they were having a quilting class. I decided to take the class, and Marcia and Barbara taught me a lot about quilting. With their help, I made my first quilt in 2009. Ever since then, I have continued to quilt, and it has become my passion. I love being able to take little pieces of fabric and make them into something beautiful. Now I quilt daily for my job, and it’s a dream come true!
